Basketball Recap: Central Skates Past Demopolis with Ease

A well-balanced attack led Central over Demopolis in every quarter on their way to victory on Saturday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Central Falcons blew the Demopolis Tigers out of the water with a 59-22 final score. The Falcons have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 11 matchups by 23 points or more this season.

Central's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Airre'Ale Norfleet, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and ten boards. Norfleet's afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kelly Eubanks, who posted 13 points.

The victory made it two in a row for Central and bumps their season record up to 13-8. As for Demopolis, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Central will welcome American Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Demopolis, they will take on Selma at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Selma will roll in looking for their 12th straight win, something Demopolis surely won't give up without a fight.
