Soccer Recap: Tupelo's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Friday

There was early excitement for Tupelo after they claimed the first goal on Friday, however, they wouldn't score again. They fell just short of the Clinton Arrows by a score of 2-1. The Golden Wave were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Arrows earlier this season, when they won 2-2.

The loss snapped Tupelo's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 14-3 record. As for Clinton, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-3-1 record this season.

Tupelo wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 0-0 draw against Brandon on the 18th. As for Clinton, they will challenge Madison Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clinton will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
