Basketball Recap: Marysville Getchell Comes Up Short

Marysville Getchell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They lost 54-32 to the Lynnwood Royals. Marysville Getchell lost against Lynnwood in their previous head to head back in January of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 78-19 score last time.

Lynnwood found their leader in freshman Nina Wilson, who posted 24 points. The game was Wilson's fourth in a row with at least 15 points. Ena Dodik was another key player, putting up eight points.

Marysville Getchell's defeat dropped their record down to 2-19. As for Lynnwood, their win bumped their record up to 3-18.

Marysville Getchell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lynnwood, they will square off against Edmonds-Woodway at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Lynnwood is facing Edmonds-Woodway at the right time seeing as Edmonds-Woodway is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
