Volleyball Recap: Windham RVT Comes Up Short

Windham RVT came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Wheeler Lions, falling 3-0. The Mighty Tigers have struggled against the Lions recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

While Windham RVT was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the second set. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-22, 25-15.

Genevieve Sargent paced Windham RVT's offense, picking up five kills. Sargent got some help from Hailey Andrews and her five assists. Finally, Sargent was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high four blocks.

Windham RVT now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Wheeler, their victory bumped their record up to 2-0.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Windham RVT will face off against Vinal RVT at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Wheeler, they will take on Montville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
