Basketball Recap: Lassiter Starts Season with Win Against Roswell

Lassiter took care of business in their home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Roswell Hornets by a score of 53-45. The Trojans haven't had any issues with the Hornets recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Lassiter's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Will Griffis led the charge by going 7-for-10 on his way to 14 points. That's the most points Griffis has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Preston Liston, who had 12 points in addition to six rebounds and three steals.

Looking ahead, Lassiter will hit the road for the first time this season to face off against Etowah at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Roswell, they will take on Blessed Trinity at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
