Football Recap: Rosary Academy Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

Rosary Academy had to start their season on the road on Monday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They lost 32-12 to the Esperanza Aztecs. The Royals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 20-0.

Despite the loss, Rosary Academy had strong showings from Sophie Lickl, who picked up 85 receiving yards and one TD, and Hailey Huerta, who rushed for 82 yards and one touchdown.

Emma Gribben had an outrageously good game for Esperanza as she picked up 43 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 57 yards.

Rosary Academy has already played their next match, a 20-0 defeat against Villa Park on the 12th. As for Esperanza, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 42-7 win against Anaheim on the 12th.
