After a string of seven wins, St. Joseph Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 39-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Saint Mary's Hall Barons. The Bloodhounds were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Barons earlier this season, when they won 42-39.

Saint Mary's Hall got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Isabella (Beya) Chase out in front who posted nine points and four steals. With that strong performance, Chase is now averaging an impressive 2.1 steals per game. Another player making a difference was Maddie Florence, who earned nine points and three steals.

St. Joseph Academy's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 19-6. As for Saint Mary's Hall, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
