Basketball Recap: Evansville Bosse Takes a Loss

Evansville Bosse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a blow against the Evansville North Huskies, falling 57-19. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 328th, while the Huskies are ranked 47th).

Evansville North's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Maddy Knies, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine boards. That's the most rebounds Knies has posted since back in November of 2024. Another player making a difference was Zhaeyana Cooper, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and ten boards.

Evansville Bosse's loss dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Evansville North, they pushed their record up to 11-7 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home.

Evansville Bosse has already played their next match (against Edwards County), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Evansville North will venture away from home to face off against Evansville Memorial at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
