Basketball Game Preview: Philo Electrics vs. Sheridan Generals

Philo hasn't had much luck against Sheridan recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Philo Electrics are taking a road trip to challenge the Sheridan Generals at 7:15 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Philo easily dispatched Morgan on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Philo fell just short of River View by a score of 48-46 on Friday.

Meanwhile, Sheridan was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 60-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of Newark Catholic. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Generals came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 289th, while the Green Wave are ranked 677th).

Sheridan's defeat dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Philo, their loss dropped their record down to 6-11.

Philo couldn't quite finish off Sheridan in their previous matchup last Saturday and fell 62-59. Can Philo avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
