Baseball Recap: Oregon-Davis Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Oregon-Davis never let their opponents score on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Culver Community Cavaliers by a score of 4-0. This was a revenge game for the Bobcats: when they faced off against the Cavaliers on Monday, they had to take a 11-9 loss.

Brady Danford was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 17 over seven innings pitched. Those 17 strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Danford wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Hudson Danford, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Oregon-Davis moved to 2-14 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Culver Community, they dropped their record down to 3-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Looking ahead, Oregon-Davis will head out to challenge Marquette Catholic at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Culver Community, they will be playing in front of their home fans against West Central at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
