Recap: Diller-Odell Griffin vs. Tri County Trojans

The Diller-Odell Griffin struggled with offensive rebounds on Friday (the Tri County Trojans had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Diller-Odell's tough 62-41 defeat to Tri County might stick with them for a while. Diller-Odell has struggled against Tri County recently, as their game on Friday was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Several Griffin players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cooper Morgan, who scored 13 points along with six rebounds and three steals. The match was Morgan's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zachary Warren, who scored 12 points.

Diller-Odell struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only four offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Tri County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dustin Kapke, who scored 12 points along with nine rebounds. Cameron Reynolds was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds.

Diller-Odell has not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season. As for Tri County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

Diller-Odell will look to defend their home court on Friday against Sacred Heart. Tri County and Exeter-Milligan/Friend will face off on January 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Exeter-Milligan/Friend is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
