Alta has gone a perfect 3-0 against West recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. Alta will look to defend their home field against West at 4:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Alta's favor as the squad sits on nine straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while West has been banged up by 16 consecutive losses on the road also dating back to last season.
Alta gave up the first runs on Saturday, but they didn't let that get them down. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Viewmont, sneaking past 9-7.
Levi Stevenson tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Crew Scheel, who scored two runs while going 3-for-5. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (three). Another player making a difference was Jose Periera, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Alta kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in three consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, West came up short against Roy on Saturday, falling 15-2.
West saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Izaiah Holley, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI. Isaac Salazaar was another, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.
Alta's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for West, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4.
West's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Alta hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .336. It's a different story for West, though, as they've only averaged .218. Will they be able to contain Alta's hitters?
Alta took their victory against West when the teams last played back in April of 2024 by a conclusive 12-2. Will Alta repeat their success, or does West has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
