Softball Recap: Gibraltar Snaps 16-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Gibraltar's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Sturgeon Bay Clippers by a score of 13-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The high-scoring effort was just what the Vikings needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Sturgeon Bay's batters probably weren't too happy with Emilie Glocke, who pitched a no hitter and racked up eight Ks (she gave up five walks). Glocke has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Pamela Prescott was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Anna Jarosh, who went 3-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.

Gibraltar's win ended a 16-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8. As for Sturgeon Bay, they are on a ten-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Clippers beat Gibraltar by a score of 13-10 later that day.
