Baseball Recap: Cornersville Takes a Loss

Cornersville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 14th straight loss. They lost 16-3 to the Fayetteville Tigers. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Cornersville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacob Courtemanche, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.

Cornersville's loss dropped their record down to 2-17. As for Fayetteville, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season.

Cornersville will square off against Cascade at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Fayetteville, they will challenge Ezell-Harding Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
