Softball Recap: Notre Dame (SO) Falls to El Segundo in First Game of Season

Notre Dame (SO) unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the El Segundo Eagles by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The Knights were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2024.

Jackie Morales made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and four RBI. Nadia Ledon was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one triple and one run.

Coming up, Notre Dame (SO) will face off against Chatsworth at 3:15 p.m. on Friday. As for El Segundo, they have already played their next game, a 15-3 victory against Culver City on the 20th.
