Mancos has gone 8-2 against Sanford recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bluejays will look to defend their home field against the Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Sanford better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Mancos' game on Saturday is any indication, that's when Mancos really gets things going. The Bluejays put the hurt on Vail Christian with a sharp 60-38 win. Winning may never get old, but the Bluejays sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mancos to victory, but perhaps none more so than Michael Resner, who rushed for 166 yards and six scores, and also threw for 112 yards and one touchdown while completing 80% of his passes. With that strong performance, Resner is now averaging an impressive 109.2 rushing yards per game. Another rusher making a difference was Jonah H Ritter, who gained 188 total yards.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Mancos was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 353 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sanford). They took their game on Saturday with ease, bagging a 57-6 victory over Sargent. The win continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Farmers: they've now won seven in a row.
Sanford found their leader in sophomore Colton Reynolds, who rushed for 82 yards and a pair of TDs.
Sanford's defense made their presence known, laying out Jayce Capron four times. That dominant display was truly a team effort as four different players picked up one apiece.
Sanford's victory bumped their record up to 5-1. As for Mancos, their win bumped their record up to an identical 5-1.
Friday's contest might be decided on the ground. Mancos has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 255.2 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Sanford struggles in that department as they've been averaging 335.5 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Mancos strolled past Sanford in their previous matchup back in October of 2024 by a score of 34-20. Will the Bluejays repeat their success, or do the Mustangs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
