League recap: Worcester Academy stuns Northfield Mount Hermon in upset

The biggest upset of the week belonged to Worcester Academy, who took down 52nd ranked Northfield Mount Hermon, 28-13.

Deerfield Academy was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after beating Deerfield Academy 27-26. The Big Green came in at 22 in the state poll after placing at number 127 last week.

Loomis Chaffee's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Emmanuel Williams threw for 224 and two touchdowns and Brendan Wagner had 53 yards receiving. On the ground Luvin De Leon chipped in 63 yards. Durelle Napier helped Loomis Chaffee's passing attack out by catching two balls for 51 yards.

Williams has thrown for 435 yards and four touchdowns this season, while Napier has four catches for 122 yards. De Leon leads the league in rushing with 200 yards.

The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Phillips Exeter Academy and Loomis Chaffee. The Lions comes into the matchup ranked 11th in the state, while Chuck Reid's team ranks 17th.

The Hilltoppers moved up to 35 from 141 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. Worcester Academy was able to make the jump by beating the Hoggers 28-13.
