Football Game Preview: Oak Hill Academy Raiders vs. Regents Lions

The Oak Hill Academy Raiders will face off against the Regents Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Oak Hill Academy is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest loss since October 18, 2024 on Friday. They were beaten by Leake Academy 41-14. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the Raiders' biggest loss of the season was also their lowest-scoring.

Meanwhile, after only six points in their last contest, Regents made sure to put some points up on the board against Manchester Academy on Thursday. The Lions strolled past the Mavericks with points to spare, taking the game 48-30.

A big part of Regents' victory came down to the chemistry between Zane Hill and his top target Hayes Leach. Hill threw for 344 yards and six TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes while Leach picked up 211 receiving yards and three scores. Regents is 2-1 when Leach posts two or more receiving touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

Regents didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Cade Yerty.

Regents has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 3-4 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 31.8 points over those games. As for Oak Hill Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-2.
