Football Recap: Miami-Yoder Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Miami-Yoder extended their losing streak to six on Friday, dropping them down to 0-6. They had to suffer through a 73-18 loss at the hands of the Deer Trail Eagles. If the Buffaloes were looking for revenge after losing 70-34 to the Eagles when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Despite the loss, Miami-Yoder still got an impressive performance from Jesus Cruz, who rushed for 41 yards and one touchdown, and also caught one score.

As for Deer Trail, their win bumped their record up to 2-4. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

A big part of Deer Trail's victory came down to the chemistry between Chris Manriquez-Bustamante and his top target Jayden Mingee. Manriquez-Bustamante threw for 101 yards and three TDs on perfect 8-for-8 passing while Mingee picked up 100 receiving yards and three scores. The dominant performance also gave Manriquez-Bustamante a new career-high in passer rating (177.1).
