Volleyball Recap: Wakefield Memorial Victorious

Wakefield Memorial was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate Panthers 3-2.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Wakefield Memorial got the one that really mattered. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 16-25, 25-18, 22-25, 15-11.

Wakefield Memorial's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate, their defeat ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-4.

Wakefield Memorial wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 loss against Lexington on the 8th. As for KIPP Academy Lynn Collegiate, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 win against Salem on the 14th.
