Football Game Preview: Catholic Central Shamrocks vs. East Kentwood Falcons + How To Watch

The Catholic Central Shamrocks will take on the East Kentwood Falcons at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Catholic Central will come into the contest with an undefeated record on the line.

Catholic Central is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 42-13 victory over Clarkston. Considering the Shamrocks have won eight games by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Catholic Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Duke Banta out in front who threw for 244 yards and three touchdowns on only 17 passes. That's the most passing yards Banta has posted since back in September. A healthy portion of Banta's aerial production (139 yards to be exact) went to Samson Gash, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Meanwhile, East Kentwood hadn't done well against Hudsonville recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. The Falcons blew past the Eagles 52-28. The game was the first time the Falcons have beaten the Eagles on their field since October 18, 2019.

Catholic Central better keep an eye on Kayd Coffman. He was instrumental in East Kentwood's win, rushing for 210 yards on only 12 carries, while also throwing for 273 yards and a pair of TDs. Coffman's longest rush was for an impressive 65 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

Catholic Central's record now sits at 12-0. As for East Kentwood, their record is now 10-2.
