Recap: Parker Thundering Herd vs. Minor Tigers
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Parker Thundering Herd walked away with it. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 52-50 victory over the Tigers on Wednesday. The victory was nothing new for Parker as they're now sitting on four straight.
Parker's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Otiscia Towns, who scored 17 points along with five assists and four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Towns has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taniya Smith, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Parker pushed their record up to 19-6 with that win, which was their ninth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points per game. As for Minor, their loss dropped their record down to 19-11.
Parker does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Minor also has no future games currently scheduled.
