Baseball Recap: Ashley's Loss Ends Ten-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Ashley and Laney squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Ashley had to settle for second. They lost 10-4 to the Buccaneers. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Screaming Eagle, who until this match were averaging three runs allowed.

Ashley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tanner Berry, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Ashley's loss ended a ten-game streak of away wins and brought them to 22-5. As for Laney, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 22-4.

Ashley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Laney, they will square off against Jordan on Friday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something the Buccaneers surely won't give up without a fight.
