Basketball Game Preview: Fieldcrest Knights vs. Manual Rams

The Fieldcrest Knights will be taking part in a tournament against the Manual Rams at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

On Tuesday, Fieldcrest was able to grind out a solid win over Non Varsity Tournament Opponent, taking the game 52-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Fieldcrest's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Macy Gochanour, who almost dropped a double-double with 24 points and nine boards. Pru Mangan was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds.

41 must be Manual's lucky number: they beat Flanagan/Woodland with that score not once but twice on Tuesday. The Rams beat the Falcons by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 41-21.

Fieldcrest's record now sits at 2-0. As for Manual, their record is now an identical 2-0.

Fieldcrest might still be hurting after the 54-32 defeat they got from Manual when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Knights avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
