Volleyball Game Preview: Otsego Knights vs. Maumee Panthers

Otsego is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Maumee is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Knights will host the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Otsego is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Lake just ended the team's five-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the Flyers, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered since September 9th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-20, 25-17.

Otsego's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Molly Kramer, who had 17 digs, and Cassie Bunde, who had 21 assists and four digs. Bunde has been hot for a while, having posted 18 or more assists the last 17 times she's played.

Meanwhile, Maumee got the win against Eastwood on Thursday by a conclusive 3-0.

While Maumee won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14, 25-19.

Maumee's win bumped their record up to 12-8. As for Otsego, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-7.

Otsego beat Maumee 3-1 in their previous matchup back in September. Will the Knights repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
