North Putnam got themselves on the board against Cloverdale on Saturday, but Cloverdale never followed suit. They walked away with a 3-0 win over the Clovers. The Cougars haven't had any issues with the Clovers recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Mack Mason was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. Hailee Daigle also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

North Putnam's win bumped their record up to 9-5. As for Cloverdale, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 6-11.

Coming up, North Putnam will look to defend their home field on Monday against Southmont at 5:30 p.m. The Mounties will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each game than the last. As for Cloverdale, they will venture away from home to face off against North Montgomery at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Chargin' Chargers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.89 runs per game on average), something the Clovers will no doubt try to take advantage of.
