Baseball Recap: Smith Valley's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Smith Valley can now relate to. They lost 7-1 to the Indian Springs Thunderbirds on Thursday. The Bulldogs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Thunderbirds apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Smith Valley saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Wyatt Wulfing, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one stolen base. Brysen Walston was another, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Smith Valley's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5. As for Indian Springs, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 21-5.

As of now, neither Smith Valley nor the Thunderbirds have any future games scheduled.
