Baseball Recap: Cabrillo's Undefeated Season over After Six Games

Cabrillo was the 4-1 winner over Righetti when they last played one another back in May of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. Cabrillo took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Righetti on Wednesday. The match marked the Conquistadores' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Cabrillo saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Felix Hernandez, who scored a run while going 2-for-4.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cabrillo fell to 5-1. As for Righetti, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Cabrillo wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Lompoc on the 21st. As for Righetti, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 9-7 defeat against Arroyo Grande on the 21st.
