Soccer Game Preview: East Ridge vs. Rosemount

The East Ridge Raptors are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on the Rosemount Irish at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

East Ridge is headed into their matchup with Rosemount looking for a result a bit more satisfying than what they got in their season opener against Eagan on Thursday. The Raptors and the Wildcats finished up their game with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, Rosemount had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They won by a goal and slipped past Edina 1-0. The win continues a trend for Rosemount in their matchups with Edina: they've now won three in a row.

East Ridge came out on top in a nail-biter against Rosemount when the teams last played back in August of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Raptors since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
