Baseball Game Preview: West Port Wolf Pack vs. Dixie County Bears

The West Port Wolf Pack will venture away from home to take on the Dixie County Bears at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Port has given up an average of 10.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

West Port is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Madison County on Monday. They lost 11-1 to the Cowboys.

West Port saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ricardo Soto, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI.

Meanwhile, Dixie County came into Friday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against Chiefland on Friday by a score of 7-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game).

The win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-8. As for West Port, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-13 record this season.
