Football Recap: Fort Stockton Comes Up Short

Fort Stockton fell victim to Liberty and their airtight defense on Friday. They were outmatched by the Patriots and fell 56-0. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Gerry Diaz threw for 97 yards on eight of 16 attempts. Nikki Sotelo was his top target, picking up 93 receiving yards. On the ground, Jeremiah Gonzales rushed for 43 yards.

As for Liberty, they will head out on the road to square off against Greenwood at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will need to watch out since the Rangers have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
