Basketball Recap: Trinity Christian Comes Up Short

Trinity Christian had lost 17 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 1-4 to make it 18. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 73-72 to the Whitewater Wildcats. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (62), the Lions still had to take the loss.

As for Whitewater, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 74.5 points this season.

Among those leading the charge was Asher Lamz, who shot 50% from the field on his way to 12 points and eight boards. Those eight rebounds gave him a new career-high. Michael Greene was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Coming up, Trinity Christian will face off against Spalding at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the Jaguars have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Whitewater, they will challenge Upson-Lee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
