Volleyball Recap: Suncoast Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Despite a phenomenal run in the regular season, Suncoast couldn't carry that success into this playoff game. They came up short against the Lake Howell Silverhawks on Friday, falling 3-0. The Chargers' defeat signaled the end of their 19-game winning streak.

Suncoast was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-15, 25-23.

Kyle Ross paced Suncoast's offense, picking up 11 kills. Ross got some help from Dylan Smith and his 21 assists.

Suncoast's loss dropped their record down to 23-2. As for Lake Howell, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-2.

Suncoast does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Lake Howell, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Reagan on the 17th.
