Baseball Recap: Horizon's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak at Home

Horizon was the 3-1 winner over Arizona College Prep when they last played one another last Monday, but their luck changed this time around. The Huskies fell 6-3 to the Knights on Wednesday.

Horizon got a good showing from Jarrett Elco, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Elco has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than one walk any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Quinn Robbins made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. He also put up a home run, which was his first of the season.

Horizon's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-7. As for Arizona College Prep, their victory bumped their record up to 13-7.

Looking ahead, Horizon will head out on the road to challenge Sunrise Mountain at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. As for Arizona College Prep, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Paradise Valley at 3:45 p.m.
