Basketball Recap: Verbena Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Verbena and Autauga Academy squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Verbena had to settle for second. They took a blow against the Autauga Academy Generals, falling 72-14. The Red Devils have struggled against the Generals recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Verbena's defeat dropped their record down to 6-15. As for Autauga Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 16 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Both are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Verbena will head out on the road to square off against Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Autauga Academy, they will take on Billingsley at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Autauga Academy is coming into the game hot, having won their last ten games.
