Baseball Recap: Mission Bay Snaps Four-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Mission Bay started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against La Jolla. They fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Buccaneers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Vikings earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Mission Bay saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kaden Jones, who went 1-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and one run. That triple marked the first that Jones has hit this season. Owen Oswald was another, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Mission Bay's loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-4. As for La Jolla, the win got them back to even at 9-9.

Coincidentally, Mission Bay and La Jolla will both be playing San Diego the next time they take the field. The Vikings will head out to face the Cavers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Buccaneers will host them at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
