Basketball Preview: Crossroad Academy Scorpions vs. Jefferson County Tigers
The Crossroad Academy Scorpions are on the road again on Monday and plays the Jefferson County Tigers on February 5th. Crossroad Academy comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the squad is of course eager to reverse.
Last Thursday, Crossroad Academy was the victim of a tough 45-23 defeat at the hands of the Timberwolves. While losing is never fun, Crossroad Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 614th, while the Timberwolves are ranked 283rd).
Meanwhile, Jefferson County suffered a tough 54-28 defeat at the hands of the Bulldogs on Thursday.
Crossroad Academy dropped their record down to 0-13 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Jefferson County, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.
