Baseball Recap: Schuylerville Comes Up Short

Schuylerville and Hudson squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Schuylerville had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Bluehawks by a score of 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Horses have suffered since April 23rd.

Caden Morris made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 4-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one stolen base. He is becoming a predictor of Schuylerville's success: when he posts at least three RBI the team is 2-1 (and 8-9-1 when he doesn't). The team also got some help courtesy of Alex Renner, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double.

Schuylerville's loss was their fifth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 10-10-1. As for Hudson, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-7.

As of now, neither Schuylerville nor the Bluehawks have any future games scheduled.
