Softball Recap: Cherokee Warriors vs. Marietta Blue Devils
Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cherokee). They never let the Marietta Blue Devils onto the board and left with a 21-0 win on Thursday. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by six runs or more this season.
Cherokee's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-15. As for Marietta, they are on a 37-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-24.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cherokee will host Harrison at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Marietta, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Paulding County at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
