Football Recap: Bartlett Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Bartlett lost against Oxford back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Indians fell 36-26 to the Pirates. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Bartlett lost, don't look at Lawrence Smith. Despite the final result, he rushed for 178 yards and three scores while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. Smith's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 110 rushing yards dating back to last season.

Jack Grenier was a one-man wrecking crew For Oxford. as he rushed for 208 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Those four rushing touchdowns gave Grenier a new career-high.

Bartlett's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Oxford, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.

Coming up, Bartlett is taking a road trip to take on Abby Kelley Foster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Oxford, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Uxbridge at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday.
