Soccer Recap: Marco Island Academy Takes a Loss

Marco Island Academy and Neumann squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Marco Island Academy had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Neumann Celtics by a score of 2-1. While losing is never fun, the Rays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida soccer rankings (they are ranked 413th, while the Celtics are ranked 188th).

Marco Island Academy has been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-10-1 record this season. As for Neumann, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

Marco Island Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Neumann has also already played their next match, a 1-0 victory against First Baptist Academy on the 30th.
