Football Game Preview: Meyersdale Red Raiders vs. Brownsville Falcons + How To Watch

Meyersdale is a perfect 3-0 against Brownsville since October of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Red Raiders will welcome the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Meyersdale is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 26 points per game this season.

Brownsville will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: Meyersdale extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Red Raiders came within a single point of losing the streak, but they secured a 19-18 W against Northern Bedford County. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meyersdale's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lance Jones, who threw for 175 yards and one TD while completing 90.9% of his passes, and also rushed for 31 yards and one score. Jones also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making three total tackles and defending one pass. 82 of Jones' passing yards were hauled in by Matthew Hainsworth, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Meanwhile, Brownsville played a tough matchup on Saturday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 46-12 loss at the hands of Carrick. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 40-12.

Meyersdale's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Brownsville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Meyersdale against Brownsville when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 42-8 win. In that contest, the Red Raiders amassed a halftime lead of 35-0, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
