Baseball Game Preview: Mulberry Panthers vs. Bishop Moore Hornets

For the second straight game, Mulberry will face off against Bishop Moore. The Panthers will challenge the Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Mulberry will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.

Mulberry is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Bishop Moore. The Panthers not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since February 20th (when they won 12-2).

Gavin Stedman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned runs on three hits and racked up 12 Ks. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in ten consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Nic Partridge was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases and two runs. Those four stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Hayden Wyatt, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI and one double.

Mulberry pushed their record up to 25-8 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Bishop Moore, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 24-8.
