Meanwhile, Berkeley Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They wound up on the wrong side of a tough 12-2 walloping at the hands of Keyser.

Berkeley Springs saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Landen Schetrompf, who went 1-for-1 with two stolen bases.

McConnellsburg's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Berkeley Springs, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.
