Corydon Central has gone a perfect 10-0 against South Central recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Panthers will look to defend their home field against the Rebels at 7:30 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

Corydon Central is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Charlestown just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pirates. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Meanwhile, South Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost an 11-10 heartbreaker at the hands of Eastern. On the bright side, the ten- run performance marked the Rebels' highest-scoring contest to date.

Nolan Brown was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he pitched 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits.

At the plate, Jarrett Ferree made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those doubles were his first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of John Davis, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and two RBI.

Corydon Central's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for South Central, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.

Corydon Central was able to grind out a solid win over South Central when the teams last played back in April of 2024, winning 6-2. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Rebels turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
