Football Game Preview: Filer Wildcats vs. Kimberly Bulldogs + How To Watch

Filer hasn't had much luck against Kimberly recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Wildcats will look to defend their home field against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Filer has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 174 points over their last three contests.

Filer is headed into the game after thoroughly thrashing Battle Mountain: they outscored them in every quarter. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Wildcats blew the Longhorns out of the water with a 61-6 final score. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 35-6.

Filer got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Tristan Rea out in front who threw for 359 yards and five TDs while picking up 15.6 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 34 yards. Thanks to that big game, Rea is now up to 16 passing touchdowns on the season. Another back making a difference was Jarrett Mai, who rushed for 142 yards and three touchdowns on only ten carries.

Meanwhile, Kimberly came up short against Sugar-Salem last Friday, falling 35-14.

Filer's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Kimberly, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Filer took a serious blow against Kimberly when the teams last played back in October of 2024, falling 63-7. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Wildcats were down 42-7.
