If Fenwick was riding high fresh off their 12-1 takedown of IC Catholic Prep on Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Friars came up short against the Glenbrook North Spartans on Saturday, falling 11-4. The Friars' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Fenwick got a good showing from Bobby Milder, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off four hits. Milder has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Ben Jarnecke was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run was his first of the season. Michael McMahon was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI.

Fenwick now has a losing record of 6-7-1. As for Glenbrook North, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fenwick will host Saint Ignatius College Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Friars are facing the Wolfpack at the right time seeing as the Wolfpack are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Glenbrook North, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Maine South at 4:45 p.m. on Monday.
