Branchville extended their winning streak to three on Wednesday, bumping their season record up to 8-4 in the process. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 9-8 W against the Woodland Wolverines. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Yellow Jackets have posted since March 14, 2024.

As for Woodland, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6. The defeat continues a trend for them in their meetings with Branchville: they've now lost seven in a row.

For Woodland's part, Katey Westbury was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in four of her five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Josie Mitchum was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
