Soccer Game Preview: Covenant Day vs. Providence Day

Covenant Day hasn't had much luck against Providence Day recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Covenant Day will head out on the road to face off against Providence Day at 7:00 p.m. Covenant Day's defense has only allowed 0.4 goals per game this season, so Providence Day's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Covenant Day is headed into the matchup without a loss and will look to keep things rolling. Neither they nor Marvin Ridge could gain the upper hand on Wednesday so the two teams had to settle for a 0-0 draw. The result (or lack thereof) was the first time Covenant Day have been dealt a draw since March 1st.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Providence Day). Their defense stepped up to hand Ravenscroft a 7-0 shutout on Saturday. Providence Day's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Their offense was hitting Ravenscroft from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal.

Providence Day's win bumped their record up to 8-0-1. Covenant Day's draw gives them a new season record of 7-0-2.

Covenant Day might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Providence Day when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Covenant Day avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
