Volleyball Game Preview: Telluride Miners vs. Dolores Bears + How To Watch

The Telluride Miners will take on the Dolores Bears at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the matchup red-hot, with Telluride sitting on six straight wins and Dolores on eight.

Telluride will bounce into Thursday's match after beating Mancos, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Miners walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Bluejays on Tuesday.

The win didn't come easy: Mancos scored at least 22 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24, 23-25, 25-22.

Meanwhile, Dolores made easy work of Ridgway on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 victory.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Dolores was: they took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-10, 25-10.

Telluride's record now sits at 13-4. As for Dolores, their record is now 18-1.

Telluride couldn't quite get it done against Dolores when the teams last played back in September as they fell 3-1. Can the Miners avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
